Mentorship Opportunity
The N.E.W Venture Program is currently recruiting Mentors for our latest cohort of newcomer and refugee women. At N.E.W Venture we believe entrepreneurship can serve as a path to economic independence and social integration for many of our participants. This is why our program is focused on supporting newcomer and refugee women to develop the skills and network necessary to launch or grow their businesses in Canada.
Our participants come from diverse backgrounds and have often overcome significant challenges to start a new life here. They range from skilled professionals, small business owners and students, all of whom are seeking a new path to economic independence through entrepreneurship. Their business ideas span a variety of fields, including food, fashion, professional services, beauty, arts & crafts and more.
As a mentor in our program, you will have the opportunity to work one-on-one with a N.E.W Venture participant. By sharing your knowledge, expertise and lived experience you will support our participants to navigate the often challenging journey of entrepreneurship.
We are looking for mentors who can commit to 2 hours of mentorship per month for 6 months (January – June 2026 ). Sessions will be held virtually based on a mutually agreed upon schedule with your mentee.
